[PCC SFO Indian Consulate] Police station called my permanent address (My parents address)

So, I applied for my PCC at the SFO consulate for India and even though my passport was issued in the US they still said they will send a request to the RPO.

2 days ago my dad got a phone call from the Police station inquiring about where I live, where I work and since when my dad has lived at the address mentioned in the form etc. My dad then asked if he needed any more information and to that he replied that he doesn’t need any more information. Has this happened to anyone? How soon do I expect my PCC after this? I always thought the police physically visit the permanent address.

Would help if you told us what for which country you are asking about police clearance, considering how you're talking about requesting a PCC at a San Francisco consulate, it could be for any country that has a consulate in San Francisco.

It has been close to 10 days since I went to the consulate and submitted the documents.

SFO Indian Embassy takes more than 30 days to give your PCC. I would just wait for some more time.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.
