PCC requirement for Old passport Visa

Hi,
I would like to know that weather i need a police clearance certificate from Dubai, UAE as i have visited the country in 23rd Aug 2004 and left on 15 March 2005 for work (Residence Visa). My wife is the principal applicant & she is a nurse. We wanted to apply for Quebec.

Hi

Yes. You will need a PCC for every country where you spent 6 months or more.

Dear canuck_in_uk i would like to ask one things.I am applicant based in jeddah,Saudi Arab.I am going to apply Temporary work permit from Abudhabi as i have already LMO and employment contract from British Columbia,Canada.Currently i have a new passport and there is only i have saudi visa stampped.But i worked other countries like Dubai.Afghanistan so do i need to submit photocopy the visa page of those countries from my old passport.All the documents is ready but i didnt have PCC from any country where i have worked,When i went to obtained they told me first apply the application and embassy will send me reference request letter to obtained pcc and come with us.So it is ok if i apply my application without pcc?

I would be really appreciated if you could response me.

Hi

The requirements to apply for a work permit are different than those needed to apply for Permanent Residency. As far as I know, you are not required to submit PCCs with a work permit application; if any are needed, the VO will request them.

I would suggest that you post all future questions in the Foreign Workers section of the forum. This section is for those that are immigrating to Canada and much of the advise and information doesn't apply to you.

No need to be sorry, the forum can be a bit confusing. You will get better answers to your question in the Foreign Workers section.
