I'm arranging my documents. I've been in Canada working on my PGWP. I've got a PCC from India, my question is so I need to get a PCC from RCMP as well ?
Perhaps you were thinking about the medical? In any case, a PCC from Canada is not required. CIC conducts name-based checks of all applicants. If a record is found for the name, only then will you be asked to provide a finger-print based RCMP clearance. No appointment necessary...

Just get it done, extremely simple process to get it. Also shows your willingness to the immigration office that you are willing to go above and beyond to provide them as much info as you can. I got it from RCMP - fingerprinting + local toronto one. COsts less than 100$ for both and about 3 weeks to get them.
I would strongly advise to go for it and buy your peace of mind. Goodluck
Just saying.....save your money unless it's asked for. It doesn't take long to get processed and delivered so you might as well wait to see if it's actually needed. imho....it's up to you though.
