PCC on different passport numbers

Hi All,

I got my UK PCC document on 23rd March'17. Post that i applied for the India PCC but the officials asked me to get a new passport as my address and personal details had to be updated.

Now i am feeling a bit uneasy coz my India PCC is on the the new passport and UK PCC on the old pssport. I have not travelled to the UK in the last 3 years anyway till date.

Is this ok or should i get another UK PCC? I will explain why the new passport but anything else that needs to be done here?PLEASE ADVISE. Anyone similar to my case here...

Super confusing as my whole application now is a hotch potch as the ITA is also on the old cancelled passport.

I think the Case Officers understand that passports expire and you need to renew them.

So as long as you explain the whole situation to them properly, you will not have any issue.

Explain it in LOE. I don't think that would be an issue. My wife and I would be updating our passports (Add each other's names and update current address). We'd be opting for PCC after we receive our new passports. Our IELTS score-card mentions old passport and probably same would be the case of our Medical ack. letter. We'll simply explain the discrepancy.

I am sure your new passport will have the old passport number mentioned on some page (mostly second page or on the first page stating that "a new passport has been issued in lieu of ADXXXXXXX ")

You will have to scan that page and upload it. though optional it is but, One liner explanation will be enough

Good point!

In Indian passport, it is mentioned on the last page i.e. biographical information page.

Perfect then.. Because somehow, while scanning the new passport, all pages with MARKINGs, STAMPS shall go in the passport placeholder, ultimately, he is going to scan that page.
