My passport had a rented address where we were staying but my parents changed to a different rental address recently. I had mentioned this address in PCC application along with my updated Aadhar reflecting this new rental address. However, local police has rejected it after performing verification and the application status now says "Police Verification Report is not clear and application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate.". Local police is saying that since this address shows as "Permanent address" on the ARN printed form for PCC, this is incorrect. Not sure how to proceed further as the only "permanent" home we have has been occupied by our tenants. Has anyone mentioned a rental address in PCC and got rejected because of this?
