You are required to provide Police Certificate from the Country not per state......refer checklist.

The country where you currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more; and
The country where you have spent most of your life since the age of 18.

Hello Wakki,

When I approached the SP office for PCC they asked since when I am residing in the present address. I told him for the past 21 years and was out of state for 3 years from 2011-14, for which they said PCC will be provided from 2014 on wards. Will I have a problem? I studied in Karnataka and asked to get one from there if needed ;/

Any had a particular situation like mine? is one PCC enougn for one country..why cant India just upload the files online..as in a national portal...infact they dont even have distric wise in the same state............butt load of..:(

You need to provide Police Certificate per Country not per states or cities......e.g., if you lived in several cities and states in India......you only need to provide PCC from India Police (country not city).

Refer Checklist..

POLICE CERTIFICATES

You (the principal applicant), and any family members 18 or older (who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents), must submit police
certificates from the following country or countries at this time, unless indicated otherwise on the police certificate webpage:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...n/medical-police/police-certificates/how.html
  • The country where you (or they) currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more; and
  • The country where you (or they) have spent most of your (their) life since the age of 18.
