This may be a no-brainer, but still I'd like to confirm.
I know that PCC from origin country will be required eventually if you didn't submit it in your original application, however it is my understanding that it is only required from countries/territories you have lived for more than 6 or more consecutive months after you have reach 18 years old.
So my question is, I turned 18 at the end of March, and at the end of August in the same year, I left my origin country to pursue my university education in Canada. As a result, I only spent a total of 5 months in my country of origin after I turned 18.
Will PCC still be required from my origin country?
Probably. Even tho you might not need to by the rules, other people in your situation have been requested to submit their PCC anyway (that is CIC's right to ask for it). You would save yourself some time if you just went ahead and applied for it.
hi.. I had submitted PCC for India with my original application, but I did not send it for my spouse. So is there a possibility that CIC may ask for PCC for my spouse too? Did anyone receive such request ?

Your spouse is subject to the same rules regarding PCCs as you are. One for every country she has lived in for at least 6 months, since the age of 18 (except Canada).
