I am currently in Canada and received my PCC from India from an Inspector of Police at a local police station. I gave my details, passport information and photographs so that he could check the records and give the certificate for me which states that 'no adverse records were found'. Is this certificate good enough or do I have to get it through BLS only?
I have had many people in this forum tell me that the PSK one is more authentic as it is not bound to a location and the one you get from Canada from Indian Consulate is also furnished from the Passpot office where your passport was issued or last renewed.
Coming to processing it took us only two weeks to get our PCCs here in Toronto....so you can do that as well if possible!
