Hi everyone,
I have applied for PR under express entry from within Canada. I got my PCC for India directly from the Senior Superintendent of Police in Punjab.
CIC's website says if you live outside of India "You can apply at your nearest Indian embassy or consulate"
Would it cause any issues because I got my PCC from India and not from the Indian consulate in Toronto?

It shouldn't cause any issues
Hi,
I am certainly not sure if the type of PCC you've obtained from SP is valide or not. Best thing is to Get from a PSK (Passport Seva Kendra) or Indian Embassy/Consulate.
Many who filed eAPR with PCC from SP/Police Stations have got their applications rejected due to PCC!
Thanks & Regards,
Karandeep Walia
Yes better to get PCC from PSK in India or Indian consulate/embassy.
But they already asked me to pay the RRPF (landing fee) over a month ago.
Wouldn't they have already checked it?
If your stay was only in Punjab then you're good nothing to worry.

Yes and no. Depends on officer who is looking at file. Better to get it from PSK to have peace of mind.

From what I have heard it takes around a month for BLF Toronto to get the PCC. In the meanwhile if I happen to get the PPT, CIC only gives a month to submit the Passport. ???
