Recently, I moved to New Zealand less than one month ago. I am about to submit my PR application next week. Do I need to provide a police certificate for my current country of residence (New Zealand) ?
No, not required since your stay is less than 6 months.
If you had been to NZ earlier and your total stay in NZ till DATE is 6 months or more, only then you would require PCC from NZ.

I think you should not give them a reason to reject your application. Technically, you cannot use the PCC that you were issued when you were still living in your immediate past country of residence. If I were in your shoes, I'd apply for a NZ police certificate, and also a new certificate from the country I just left. My humble opinion.
"For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before submission of the e-APR.
For countries in which the applicant no longer lives, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the client lived in that country."
