Well the instructions say you need PCC for countries you have visited for six months or more, but the officer can still ask for PCC if they want to confirm you have no criminal record, even if you have spent a week in that country.

I understand that they can but have they and how frequently ? I don't want to go on a wild goose chase and get PCCs for every country I ever visited multiple times. I am just asking for empirical evidence.
Have you submitted your PR application yet? If not you must simply follow the instruction which say you need PCC for countries you have spent 6 months or more in (cumulatively).
