Seems like another failure attempt toward CEC. It has been 9 weeks and I have not received my AOR. I paid through Bank Draft and the draft has not come for collection yet, which I checked with the bank. So the next time I apply, I have to pay online.
While paying online, I came across a few clarifications:
1) Do we need a Canadian Credit Card?
2) If we pay through online, does it mean we have already paid? And we need not wait for the credit card to be charged.
Help me with your suggestions so that I can go through the process this 3rd time.

Yes, any credit card should work. However, I had problems with my German one. Didn't work for whatever reason, maybe because it's a VISA debit card.

Yes, if you pay online, CIC charges your credit card a few days after the payment and you only submit the proof of payment
with your application.

you should wait a couple of days more for your AOR. i know it's killing but hang in there.
1. usually any credit card works, but some credit cards may have restrictions for foreign currency so you may want to check with the bank where your cc was issued in advance.
2. Yes as toby said.
Are there any reasons you can think of that CIC may return your application? if it is not because of the bank draft payment, there must be sth missing or unacceptable in your app package. So even next time when you reapply you should have known where the problem is and make a completely right application. The method of payment doesn't really matter as long as it is payable..
