Passport will expire

If the sponsors husbands passport will expire in dec 2012, and we send our application in now, what do we do when he has to update his passport if we already sent in the old passport number? Do we let them know right away when we have renewed the passport? (the government will not let him renew the passport now as it is too early..as they said) so we have to send in our application with the passport that will expire in dec 2012.. do you think this will be a big issue? (the processing time for us apparently is 11 months as the website says, so it will be passed dec 2012)

Include that in your application, note that you will renew when allowed to and that you will forward any information required upon request...
