Passport validity and Study Permit

Dear All,

I am going to apply for SPP visa soon. My course starts from 28/08/2017 and its a 1 year course ending on 08/2018. My current Passport validity is till 04/2018.

My queires are:

Will they issue a study permit till 04/2108 or till 08/2018?
If they only give study permit only till 04/2018 i.e.(Validity of the passport) how will i get the remaining permit duration?
Finally, if i get my Study permit till 04/2018 and i renew my passport with extended validity and travel with both new and old one with study permit, will the BO stamp the permit with complete duration study permit?

Guys who have knowledge or experienced this kinda situation please let me know.

2. & 3. You will have to apply online for a study permit extension (in Canada) with a new PP.

Hello there,

So imagine i have got my study permit till 04/2018 and i have applied for a new passport after that and recieved it in my home country.
I can travel with both of it right? Or is it necessary that i can only renew my passport after landing in Canada with the old one?
