I still have not received my stamped passport 7th Oct'13. I need to travel to Canada on 11th Oct'13
I submitted my package through UPS and included a UPS return shipping label/envelope.
My question is will this be an issue, as the website mentions a USPS express envelope??

No its not necessary to send an EXPRESS envelope. basically Express envelope returning is fast with overnight delivery by USPS. But if you send a regular USPS return enveleope then you ll be receiving ur passport in 2-3 days regular ship time... and if u dont send any return envelope then Canadian consulate will send ur passport via Cheapest rate USPS shipping which probably reach u in a week and it will not have any tracking information to track ur package.
Do they usually send a confirmation email to the mycic account, stating that the passport has been sent out?
Cos, even if they had issues sending it back thru UPS, they would have sent it thru cheapest USPS service(no tracking), for which I should have received a confirmation email?

myCIC doesn't send any update about passport being received or sent back out. Have you been checking the return tracking number to see if that's been activated?
