Passport Submission

Hi,
I am applying for a tourist visa from India. I have submitted my application online and will be going for biometrics enrolment next week. As there is no VFS office in my city, I will have to fly to another city for the same. Can I submit my passport as well during my biometrics enrolment appointment?
I will not be able to fly again if I get a passport submission request. In that case, can a family member submit my passport on my behalf in another city? Will there be a form which I will have to fill for the same or just a hand-written authorization letter will serve?

No you can't. You have been called up to give your bionetrics. It is not like your visa has been approved yet.
After your biometrics is done, they will review your file and ask you to submit your passport only if the visa is approved. Unfortunately, you will have to fly again if they reauest your passport.

And as far as I know, it will be the best for you to submit your passport yourself.
