I received an email this morning requesting my passport saying "We are ready to issue the visa that entitles you to enter Canada. We need to affix the visa counterfoil in your passport and in the passports of your family members who are included in your application, if applicable."
It also says "Since you are a british citizen , you can send the copy of bio page of yours and your daughter’s valid passports"
So are they saying I can send a copy INSTEAD of the original passport?
Also, when I (re)enter Canada does my sponsor have to be present or can just myself and my daughter do it?
As a UK citizen I don't need a visa to enter Canada. I assume that by sending passport photos and copies I will receive a document to present to immigration when I enter Canada which will allow me to get my PR card.
(still not sure what that has to do with being amazing...)
That's right. You will receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence document to present to immigration upon entry. Do not sign it until you are before an immigration officer and he/she asks you to sign it. Congratulations!
