Passport requested 22nov,2012, i sent it 9th Jan 2013

i am so warried coz i was approved for my pr under family sponsorship on the 22nov,2012 and my passport was requested on the same day..i however didnt check my junk mail until yesterday when i found that my passport was requested in LA on nov,22, 2012 so i quickly sent it in by express post from canada where i am currently living. when a passport is requested they say you have 60days to submit your passport and i only have until jan 20th. my warry is am i still on time and will they give my passport with my pr or will they regect it due to my being late...my passport will be at the visa office latest monday 14th 2013.anybody been through this please help me.

As you have 60 days time given by the visa office, if your PP reach them before dead line, it would be fine. Keep the tracking record.

When you put "they say", who is "they"? Is that what was stated in YOUR letter? (60 days)? Anyway, after a first request for something I understand there would be at least one more notification (about being unable to contact you) with a warning about closing the file. So indeed you will be fine!

Truesmile they i meant the canadian consolate of LA, CA..i checked with DHL the persal is in transit...

whats so anoying is i have been waiting for this pr for a long time and i got it in the right time frame and i almost missed the date.. i got the email on the 22nd nov,2012 and read my email on the 8th jan 2013, 11days before the 60days written on the passport request form expire..jeez i almost went into shock...but thnx guys i have some hope and will keep my fingures crossed

Nothing to worry about here. As long as it reaches within the time limit set by them.

The only reason they ask you to hurry is because the limit they put on the landing is already fixed for you when your PR was approved and so the sooner you get the passport back, the sooner you can plan on landing.
