A family friend from Singapore just received their passport copy request and they should be sending the copies soon to the VAC. Problem is wife is pregnant, due in in January but COPR will be expiring in late March (1 year from medical) - Do they need to make any update to their family situation? I believe not but wanted to make sure.
They are most likely gonna land in March after the baby is born and will bring him as a visitor (they just require an eTA)

If they land with the baby on an ETA they will never be able to sponsor their child. They must add the baby to the application abroad and wait for COPRs for all the family members then they can all come to Canada together.
