Hi, I've received a mail from canada immigration(CIC - CPCMississauga) saying that to finalize my PR application i'll have to submit my passport, does that mean my PR is approved now? that's why they've requested passport for visa printing but i am just curious to know if this is the last stage of my dependent spouse PR application or there will be any further formalities. If so then can anyone please let me know how long it will take as i wanted to fly canada as soon as possible. The passport resuest tells me to submit 2 photos and my passport to VFS in india.

Congrats! This is the last stage. After that you will receive COPR which you will take to your landing interview at the airport in Canada.

What notpudding said.

As regards timescales, think in terms of 'weeks not months' to get your passport back and CoPR.

Hi I have a question - the landing interview, is it always in Canada? I got DM and PPR yesterday, and sent in my passport. So now I have to wait to get my passport back and to get my copr as far as I understand. Then, will I have to wait for another interview at the visa office or will I be able to fly to Canada? Sponsor and PA outside of Canada, my sponsor is flying over in June and I would love to be able to join her. Just not sure what the final stages entail...so glad we got PPR, most difficult part is officially over :D
