Passport request from Nairobi

Hey guys! I've read a lot of the posts looking for approximately how long it takes for CIC to stamp your passport with visa. So to ask a silly question here, does it mean that if they ask for your passport your application is complete and approved or??? Just need to hear it from someone else. My husband was sent a letter asking for 1. His passport and 2. A prepaid courier coupon for the return of the passport. It's been exactly one week today. The anxiety is killing me. : waiting for response. The online status still says in process.... Anyone kind enough to share some light plzzzzzz and thank you
