i received mail on 8/9/2010 from embassy say that they need me to send my passport and i sent it on 9/9 but till now no news i want to know how long it will take to get back my passport ????

i have heard that it takes from 2 weeks to 4 weeks to stamp visa in passport so dont worry its all good

Nosawasfy, do you mind sharing when did you get your passport back from Cairo visa office, I have the exact same situation. I received an e-mail asking for the passport on Dec 23rd, 2012 I sent it on the 29 of Dec and till now have not received anything.
Try asking in the Cairo thread, someone there might be able to help. Congrats to you though!
My husband and I have only just begun the process. How long has it been for you? Did you have an interview? Anything you can tell me would be great, thank you.
I started the process feb 2008 and decision has been made dec 23 ,2012, no interview just keep in mind I am sponsoring my parent not my spouse , so it is a little different though.
