Passport request but no letter of introduction !

I received my passport request letter yesterday following an application for study permit which i submitted online. However, i have not received the letter of introduction which some of my friends received along with the passport request letter.

Are there any chances that the letter will be sent along with my passport? or will I need to contact CIC to notify that they have missed sending my letter of introduction?

Any advice please? Thank you.

Just curious, what is that letter of introduction about?

Its supposed to be the letter confirming that the study permit is approved and has the reference number that the border officer at immigration will use to generate the official study permit.
