Passport Renewal while already applied for Citizenship

I have applied for Canada citizenship and still waiting for LPP. Its a family of 4 application. Now my kids Indian passports are going to expire in December 2023. My question is Can I apply for renewal of my kinds Indian passport while already applied for Canada citizenship ? If yes, do I need to inform CIC about it ? Whats a process ?

if anyone faced such situation please help me on this with details.

Canada allows dual citizenship. The question is more related to India. Ask & inform India.

If you have travel plans you should and once you have it, send a copy of the same via webform to IRCC.
