Passport renewal post AOR

Hello,

AOR in February 2017
Passport was valid for 12 month during AOR

There have been no further updates from CIC yet (since 1 month). I am planning to renew my passport since it expires 11 months from now in 2018 (i.e. by the time I get my COPR my passport will probably be less than 6 month valid). Before applying for passport renewal I checked my online cic account, it shows I have submitted my application with all the uploaded documents but I can’t find a place where i can update documents like new passport etc. How do we submit the renewed passport post AOR, also is it a good idea to renew passport?

Yes, it is good idea now to renew your passport since it is on the verge of expiry.
Open your AOR letter, and follow the instructions mentioned in it. You must raise a CSE and upload the pages of your new passport once you receive it.
