Passport renewal - effect on TRV/study permit

Hey all,
I'm planning to go back home for few days when I graduate in December, I have valid TRV visa and study permit till April 2017. My question is;

While I'm there if I renew my passport and return to Canada, will I face any trouble at airport/customs?

Will my study permit be still valid if i renew my passport???

I will for sure be back before April as I have to apply for pgwp.

Yes - your study permit will still be valid.

Hopefully you're aware of the 90 day rule with regards to your PGWP. It's quite possible you may have to apply before April.
