Passport renewal during PR application

My PR application is under process however my passport will be expiring later this year.

I wanted to know that if I renew my passport after I am approved for PR, do I need to notify CIC? How does that work?

Would passport renewal be a problem?

Yes. Just send a Webform with a copy of the new passport.
