USPS attempted to deliver it Saturday and left an invoice/notice for them to pick it up.
It says I can ask for it to be redelivered, but if it's not picked up in 4 days, they will send it back to me.
However, I also don't want to redeliver it, only for Buffalo to pick it up, and this not to be an uncommon instance.
I can't see this being uncommon. There is Saturday delivery in the US (still seems so weird to me) and of course Buffalo staff won't be there on weekends. They must have someone who will go pick these pieces of mail up.
Haha, in the time since I Posted this I've started 3 emails to Buffalo asking and then deleting them.
I am over thinking this all. We are headed to Canada on Saturday so I am just hoping nothing bad about it goes wrong whilst we are out of the country.

I did not think they'd be open on Saturday, but I guess I Didn't really think about when it'd be delivered just that it get delivered and returned to me. I just checked and the instructions don't indicate to avoid Saturday delivery or Wednesday delivery either, really - which is a day they are also not open. So does that mean anyone who mails it on Tuesday should intend on having to request a redelivery?
I did decide to just go to the horses mouth for the answer and emailed Buffalo asking how I should proceed.
The package was magically delivered around noon yesterday to the Buffalo office, without my taking any action. I haven't gotten a reply from Buffalo yet - but it seems they must work it all out their own.
