Hi Guys, I sent my indian passport for surrender to Brampton office of BLS through Purolator. However Purolator has lost my Original Indian Passport.
I would like to know if anybody has applied for surrender of Indian Passport + OCI card when their Passport was lost and what was the process.
BlS told me they got all documents in package but not my original passport I'd sent them for renewal. I m calling Purolator as they have lost it... most probably stolen from the package... cz BLS said they checked the video and there was no passport...

kept calling them 3-4 times a day for approx a month and a half.. and I also called the police and let BLS know that I will do a police complaint for an investigation if they wont return my original passport.. guess what.. after emailing a lot of officers and threatning to file complaint and taking to social media and also go to indian consulate.. the very next day they said they received my passport in a separate package.. you'll have to get things done the hard way if you want to deal with them.. good luck

May I know what was the solution for you? I am in a similar situation now I lost the package from Purolator which contained my surrender certificate.

Hi there - what did you do? Did you get it? I am in the same boat and Purolator and BLS are not helping.
I got it after 3 months. Meanwhile I called BLS, they gave me consulate email to contact.
I have emailed the consulate and they responded instantly confirming they have received my passport and they have it in their records.
Asked me to apply with the copy of that email and finally OCI was issued to me.
