I am Canadian living in Korea.
To get a Canadian Passport for my 21m old daughter, I am filling the "passport application form".
While filling the form, I am confused with "Guarantor" section.
To be qualified as a guarantor, there are two options : Canadian passport holder & Occupation.
In my case, Occupation option is more appropriate, but it is hard to find someone whose occupation meets the career requirement.
Here is my question.
Can the "principal of nursery school" be the guarantor?

I did the same with my son's. Only my son's dad ( my husband) was the guarantor. We did it at a passport Canada office and all they asked was how long we'd known each other and if we were married. Both of us had to be there from what I was told when I went. But like I said, I didn't mail my son's in. He was 5 months old at the time. But my husband has a Canadian passport and I'm just a PR.
Yes. She can still be the applicant simply because she's the mother. She has the right to apply for her child's citizenship passport. Her nationality or PR has no bearing on her child's citizenship. She is simply applying for her baby's passport, nothing more since obviously the baby can't complete the forms him/herself.
If you read the section on guarantor in the child passport instruction , you will notice a small note that the one parent can be the guarantor so long as the same person is not the applicant applying for the child passport. In other words, one parent can be the applicant while the other is a guarantor.
