Passport expiry

Hi,

I am Jan 2014 applicant and I have a question regarding my daughter passport.

My Daughter passport expires in Sep 2014 and my question is :

- What should be validity of the passport when CIC requests for Passport?
- Will CIC accepts passport which will expire in three months? or is it better to renew now?

I am not sure about the validity of the passport, but surely they will not issue visa beyond passport expiry date. So it should be much easy for you to renew and send a copy of new passport as soon as you get it.

Second that. In case CIC approves your pending PR application before her passport expires, the one-entry visa for her
will only be valid for as long as her passport is valid.
Go ahead and renew the passport now. Whenever you get the new passport, email CIC a scan of the new passport and you're all set.
