Hello everyone,

I was wondering if any of you have recently applied for a passport in any of the Montreal service Canada centers without an appointment. The earliest and only appointment I found is in November at the Longueil Service Canada.

- Has any of you tried a walk-in ? Any advise ?

- Is it possible to apply at a service Canada center in a different/smaller city that has less backlog ?

- If I want to apply for the urgent processing, is a bus, train or plane ticket a sufficient proof or do I need more than that (hotel reservation, travel itinerary, etc) ? Any advise on where I can get cheap and fully refundable tickets ?

Thank you.

A friend of mine went in as a walk in at the center downtown Montréal and was able to apply that way. He had his travel itenirary to show he needed urgent processing. He got it about 2.5-3 weeks later since his travel was about a month out from when he applied. Hope this helps you!

I do have a question for you, how long after your oath ceremony did it take to get your certificate? And was the ceremony here in Montréal?

It took exactly 2 weeks for me (Oath was on August 15th and I got the certificate on August 30th). My processing and oath office was Mississauga though, I just moved to Montréal 10 days ago.
