Parents were not at the wedding

When we were married in the Philippines, Both my parents and her parents were not at the civil wedding. Hers are old and not healthy enough to go any where and my father is deceased and mother could not travel across the world because of her health. An aunt was the witness. Will this be a negative thing with the application ?

Just make sure you explain why the didn't go. It would be a bigger issue if they were not told about the wedding.

u even can get the papers, doctor documents stating that ur parents are sick. will be more believable.
my parents didnt attend my wedding either since is very far and expensive to travel. i dunno how immigration will react to that.

My husbands mother and sister did not attend ours either. Father is deceased.
We just said what was true- we opted to get married quickly and there wasn't time to make arrangements regarding work, ect.
Honestly, they also didn't really support our getting married as we were young and hand't known each other that long.
But, almost 13 years later they are happy !
