I am applying for my parents visitor visa and while filling up the form, there was a question if they have a US Non Immigrant visa (Visitor Visa) and when checked yes, the requires documents seems to be very less. There is no request of proof of funds, invitation letter etc

That is correct. If applicant has valid US visa the placeholders to upload those documents is not available in the portal and as such are not required documents. But common wisdom here is to upload those documents in "Other documents" section of the application.
