It was 40K total. around 15K liquid cash and rest as FDs. Showed all other FDs too which totalled to around 100K not including this 40K shown for this trip.
its insane that IRCC officers want only the extremely rich people to come to Canada as visitors. It is really frustrating !!
is there any webform or portal to raise concerns. I would like to appeal this rejection if there is any possibility.
Sounds like a rejection from the Chinook tool. The funds are not an issue. And visit time asked is also not too long. If they do not have any travel history that may be an issue. You can raise a webform and ask them to reconsider and may be visa officer looks through the documents and change their mind.

They do have travel history. It was never cited as a reason for previous refusals.
I have raised websform yesterday itself for reconsideration. But not having any hopes looking at past success rates.
It feels like the system is auto rejecting re-applications submitted after first refusal. First time it came as Refusal Letter. Second and third time it showed Refusal Letter Generic with same reasons as before. It is really disappointing to be frank !! I dont trust the new portal anymore.
i think supervisa is the only option I am left with now
My Parents Supervisa got approved in 5 days. Finally a big relief after 3 Visitor Visa refusals in the past 1 year.
So for those out there who have previous visitor visa refusals, go for Supervisa if you can. Very High Chances of approval and Processing times are at its best now, average 10 days.
My Parents did upfront medicals and this time we applied through a very knowledgeable consultant. Wasn't expecting Passport Request in 5 days.
so dont give up your hopes even if you have multiple visitor visa rejections.
Your parents have enough funds in mutual funds. I think the issue was the duration of trip asked. Also, since they have enough funds, you should not have mentioned that you will pay for their trip. Travel history to Singapore and Sri Lanka doesn't matter. If purpose of trip was related to pregnancy (guessing given 4 months of visit asked) then that would also lead to rejection.

this has happened in my case too just a week ago, parents had VISA before, have travelled to Canada once as they are very busy and still employed, VISA got expired due to PP renewal and now rejection for TRV. Reason saying VO not convinced that they would go back!!!
