After you land in Canada as PR, how soon can you invite your parent on a tourist visa?
My parent is financially independent and can sponsor their own trip. If I provide a letter of invitation after I land, are there any chances of getting their tourist visa approved?
Thanks!

Yes, you can provide them with a letter of invitation right after you become a PR in Canada. If they have a strong travel profile and have visited countries such as the US and UK which require visas, then they should be good to apply right away. If not, then I would recommend they wait until you have lived in Canada for 6-8 months before they submit their applicaiton.
