I want to sponsor my parents for PR in Jan 2019. I am currently living in Quebec. I am a new immigrant. (I would have sufficient income for 2018 to be eligible as per Quebec financial requirements.)
I have question about "Proof of address in Quebec".
I do NOT have electricity or cable bill (or rental agreement). I am living with a friend/acquaintance and I am not on lease. However, I do have Quebec Driving License and I am working for an employer in Quebec (paystubs mention Quebec address and deduct Quebec tax). I will also have Notice of assessment from Quebec.
Would these be enough for proof of address, or could I face problem because of not having electricity/cable bill?
- Bill or statement of account from an electricity company
- Bill or statement of account from a cable company
- Last pay stub
- Notice of assessment from the Agence du revenu du Québec
- Driver’s licence
I would have 3 out of 5 documents (Pay Stub, NOA, Driver’s license). I am hoping it should be fine to not have electricity/cable bill. But want to confirm from experienced people's if anyone faced any issue. Also, if anyone faced any other issue specific to Quebec please let me know.
That I don't have electricity/cable bill. I guess I am over-thinking.
Also I travel a lot for work and personal reasons, and spend a lot of time outside of Quebec (mostly Ontario). Could that create any problem?
or would I still be considered Quebec resident for immigration purposes, since I file Quebec taxes and have Quebec address on my paperwork (DL, NOA)?
