Hi, I was planning to apply for my parents sponsorship in Jan 2018, but recently my father had been diagnosed with terminal colon cancer stage 4, and I understand with this disease my father will be inadmissible to Canada. I want to know if I can sponsor only my mother and bring my father here on super visa. My father's age is 79 and my mother's age is 76. Also, should I apply under H&C. Thanks
Unfortunately it won't be possible to sponsor your mother alone. In order for your mother to be approved for PR, your father has to pass the medical as well (even if he's non-accompanying). If your father fails the medical - your mother will be automatically refused as well.
Note that for the super visa, your father will have to pass a medical as well.
It would be an option to apply for a regular TRV for the two of them by showing the regular, they only want to visit, they have strong ties to home country, you will take responsibility for them etc. etc. and then once they are in Canada, apply to extend that visit visa every 6 months about a month before it expires.
