Parents Sponsorship - After applying, I moved to a different province

Hello,

After November 2013, Rules were changed for sponsoring parents.

My parents lives overseas and i am Canadian Citizen

Starting Jan 2014, CIC only accepts 5,000 applications. I applied and was within the limit and my application was acknowledged by CIC and i got the confirmation letter. At that time, i used to live in Province of Ontario.

Because of the Job, i moved to Province of Alberta in 2016. I check the status of my application and CIC website shows "Processing Jan 2014 applications"

Question:

1) I moved to a different province, will it affect my application?
2) will CIC reject my application because i don't live in province of Ontario?

1) No - this won't impact your application.
2) No - your application won't be rejected. It's a federal sponsorship program.
