Just a couple of question. My parents got their PGP approved and got their visa. They initially want to do landing and stay here for 2 weeks and then return back to their home country to prepare for the move.
1) if they apply for PR and use my address, can I pick up their PR card? How long does it usually take? What about SIN card / BC Health card? Am I allowed to pick them up?
2) if i get their PR, how are they coming back next time to Canada? Do they need that? Anything around it?
3) someone suggested to take pictures of all their goods and belongings that they ever want to bring to Canada. Also suggested to translate all their house ownership docs, is that required?
4) if they are just coming to land and stay for 2 weeks and go back, anything else they need to bring with themselves for their immigration? Obviously they will have their COPR, and passport and visa, but anything else needed?
They can't apply for a health card until the move to Canada permanently. They can apply for a SIN number. They will get that immediately when they apply in person. Yes you can have PR card sent to your address and you can courier them to their home country. Should take around 2 months to receive the PR cards by mail.
Thanks, is there anyway for them to pick the PR card next time they come here? Also should they take pics of their belongings / translate ownership docs for their house?
