Parents In Super Visa Has to leave canada while apply for PR

Hi,

My parents came to canada on super visa, right now they are staying in canada.I got invitation to apply for PR to my parents. Do they have to stay in India while the PR application is in process. Do they have to do medical and biometrics in india if they are asked to do so.

No they can stay in Canada if their supervisa is valid during the PR process.

Thank you for replying. If my parents stay in canada how about medical and biometrics. If they get letter to do these test from canada immigration should they go back to india and do the tests or any alternatives

Medicals can be done anywhere in the world. Currently biometrics are not available in Canada so they don’t have to do them.

I have been told by somebody that since they born in India they have to do Biometrics. My parents are going back home for couple of months and coming back. Now should I let them to stay there until biometrics are done or is it Ok if they come here since they don't have to do biometrics if they are in canada. Please let me know I am very confused

If they are going back to India soon yes they should do biometrics there. The medical will be less expensive there as well but doublecheck. You said they were going to be in Canada. There are no facilities available in Canada currently to do the biometrics so they have to waive the requirement if your parents are visiting you for a long period in Canada.

They MUST do the biometrics outside of Canada. No exceptions.

The requirement is not waived. Parent sponsorship is not an inland application, so applicants must travel outside of Canada to complete biometrics.
