Hi Canadavisa,

My spouse immigrated in February this year under Spousal Sponsorship program. We are planning to do a wedding reception here sometime in December and wanted to invite my spouse’s parents from India.

Should we go with TRV or Supervisa? My spouse will be the sponsor but she is not currently working, can I show my financial details to show we can support them? Will TRV be quicker or Supervisa?

It's your choice whether you apply for the super visa or TRV.

If you want to go with the super visa, your wife needs to be the primary sponsor but you can co-sign to meet income requirements. You'll need to provide your NOA from last year.

I would apply soon. You are starting to run a bit short on time for a December visit.

Is SuperVisa application the same application as TRV? So, I guess there is not much of a difference between the timeline of TRV and SuperVisa?

Is it possible for us to apply on-line on their behalf? We already have a GC-Key account from before.
