Parents birth certificate under Parents Grand parents sponsorship program

As a Sponsor, I have my birth certificate but my parents dont have birth certificates.
But they have passport and 10th class school certificate mentioning date of birth and place of birth in passport.

Do we still need birth certificates of parents.

No. i think only sponsor need birth certificate
