I also got the medical request form in myCIC today for my parents.
Also, we got the email on Friday stating below:-

PLEASE DO SEND THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS: confirmation of medical exam form, copies of RPRF receipts, police certificates for you and your accompanying family members.

Do we have to submit the PCC now or we have to wait for PCC request ?? And similar question for copies of RPRF receipts?

If you have receive the e-mail asking for PCC & RPRF , do not wait for separate requests. Get it ASAP and send it.

Hi Everyone. I have been trying to find the answers on the Immigration website as well as this forum but my skills are not working it seems. For Sponsorship of parents :
1) which police certificates do we need? (no information on IRCC website - it just loops back to instruction guide wherein there is no mention).
2) What are the instructions for medicals? It is stated not to do them in advance. Are you provided with a form via email to be taken to the doctor? Would someone please clarify? Or MyCIC? Do you receive notification?
3) how long is one given to produce the necessary police certificates and medical exams?

Answers:
1) Police clearance certificate ( clean record - No criminal activities etc.) from the authorized police department or passport department (as in India).
2) Instructions for Medical means Medical request from IRCC, You wait till you receive this request in your My CIC account , once you receive it, print the form , boo appointment at CIC approved panel physician around your parents area and get the tests done. Results will be submitted online by doctor. No action needed from your end.
3) 30 days for Medical, 30 days for PCC.

Why do some people were just issued ETA and some were issued visas?are ETA’s issued because they have valid supervisas already and are here in canada?

Citizens from certain countries only need ETA to enter into Canada,while others need visa (e.g. Indians). So if the PR applicant is form India, CIC will issue Visa and would ask for Passport to be sent to CIC office for sticking the visa counterfoil. The countries which doesn't need visa, they would not have to send their passports, just get the ETA over e-mail , print it, and do the entry from border.

Passports submitted to New Delhi Visa office on 5th July.

So you had an actual request of documents on My CIC account?

No, For PCC & RPRF letter, I just received an e-mail. And after I received the e-mail, I noticed the option to upload the document from My CIC account was open for submission. So I submitted the soft copies by uploading there and signed it with my Dad's name while clicking Submit.

Thanks.. please update us when you get back the passports if they provided an expiry date 1 yr after the medicals or 6 months

Visa issued already. I can see the visa expiry date is 22nd May 2019. It's 1 year from Medical.

So your file was in NDVO or Ottawa and you only got the stamping in NDVO?

Hi Parthpatel2207, My file was processed at Ottawa but my parents address in application was from India so for VIsa stickers the passport request received from Ottawa was instructing to submit the passports at NDVO. So In my case, role of NDVO is just to stick the visa on passports, nothing more.

Has anyone ever received a response from this email or is it a No Reply?

1- received automatic response and it worked for intended reason? (i.e. communication was not lost)

2- received a human response proving this email is a valid address for sending things.
