Hi Guys,
I have a couple of questions related to the PGP sponsorship in 2018.
1) Will i have to show income requirements for 2016, 2017 and 2018? I am aware the income requirements for 2018 will be out in January 2018.
2) I was a temporary foreign worker in 2016, but meet the income requirement before becoming a PR in 2017. Will it be considered.
3) I have counted a total family size of 4, but what if I have a baby in 2019 and my visa is still in procrss for my prents. Will I have to meet for 5 people (including my baby) for the three years or just for the preceeding year or this is at the discrection of the officer.
Thanks guys!!
@scylla if you could give your inputs also please

1 - For 2018, you will need income either for 2014/2015/2016, or 2015/2016/2017. It all depends if 2017 taxes will be ready by the time they do the 2018 intake.
Obviously 2018 income will not be used since it will only be a few months into 2018 by the time apps are submitted.
Do you have 2015 income in Canada? If not, then you can forget about applying in 2018 because that will for sure be mandatory.
2 - Income earned as a foreign worker in Canada will count. As mentioned, guaranteed you will need qualifying Canadian income going back at least to 2015, possibly even to 2014.
3 - Changes to family size in later years, will only need to be calculated into income requirements for that year and later, not the previous 3 years.
Yes, I do have 2015 income in Canada. That was helpful. I really appreciate you taking out time to respond.
1) So basically, in January 2018, they will mention what income requirements they will need for 2018 and if they say 2015, 2016 and 2017, we will have to show the income for those years correct? If the taxes are not filed, possibly pay slips and T4 Slips will be considered as income sources?

No, only CRA tax returns will be accepted. Not payslips or T4s. So that is why there is possibility they will demand
2014, 2015, 2016 income tax returns to apply in 2018, if apps need to be submitted before 2017 taxes are available to everyone..
The rules for 2018, should be released in Nov or Dec of this year.
Okay Perfect Thanks. Will Copies of the tax returns do? or they will need Originals?

@Rob_TO
There is no such thing as an "original" tax return anymore, as all returns can simply be printed out by logging into the CRA website. Or if you provide SIN info apparently IRCC can simply access your tax records themselves.
Okay great, thanks for educating me
