Hi Guys,
New here so any help or guidance would be much appreciated. I received acknowledgement for my parents sponsorship application in Oct 2010 since its getting close to the 47 month processing timeframe of CPC Mississauga I would like to know what information or documents they ask for when they open your file up. Also my parents will me visiting her on a super visa for 5-6 months I want to make sure that they bring all the documents they require from back home so hopefully there are no delays and file can be transferred to Islamabad. Thanks!

They basically ask all the paperwork again, which you originally submitted - Option C + PCC ( file could go to CPP-O or ISL ) - all depends, then its another 1-2 years ordeal
But if they will be here, if they can get PCC ( Police Clearance ) + Marriage Certificate + your birth cert, if you don't have ( if docs are not present then affidavit proof )
Thanks user828, hopefully its just 1-2 year ordeal currently ISL is showing a processing time of 51 months :-[
Anybody else here who received acknowledgement around that time frame and if any movement after???

They are working on files received upto May 2010 ( CIC-M part ) - frankly folks from ISL are waiting since Nov 2011 ( this is after getting approved from CIC-M ) so realistically looking for a long wait, but when you get the paperwork - write current address as Canada and Office request as Canada - CPP-O - if it goes to Ottawa then its way quicker
Can you do that? I thought that its need to be the visa office of the country you are resident of, can it be processed from Ottawa instead of that and does it require anything more then just writing Canada as the current address.

You can ask for an office where you are legally entitled to live min. 1 year - thus Super Visa ( which is 2 years ) , make sure to get health done, buy insurance and when they come to Canada, the stamp is blank ( i.e, w/o a date, meaning 2 year stay and is not 6 months with a date - that is talking to officer they do stamp like that) as you will notice in visitor thread that many have got super visa only to get 6 months stay ( but then they request 2 year ext with the suggestion that it was originally given 2 year ) BUT if the paperwork comes within that 6 months time, you are out of luck if you are given 6 months stay as there is a timeline to send that paperwork
I hope you understand what I am getting at
