Parental leave are for a reason - taking care of the child and the new mother... Why would you think CIC will RQ you if you take parental leave when you needed it and had the right to take it and you never left Canada... People who are processing your application are also people like you and understand the system (parental leave) better than you and I... why are we making life so complicated... What I am trying to say is: Do not worry about it. Write Parental Leave as the activity.... my opinion.
Parental leave is not a current RQ trigger. It is unclear if parental leave ever was an RQ trigger, but it's pretty clear that it is not a trigger now.
Don't worry. You're fine. Send your parental leave docs if you like.
