Hello everyone,
I am a Canadian citizen and I applied sponsoring my mother to immigrate to Canada in 2011. She had done the medical exam and everything except that at 2016 IMM asked her to provide a Divorce certificate. ( My mother was divorced long time ago and has only one child myself. Another point is that initially we submitted a divorce paper issued by local court and was notarized and lawful in her own country because at the time my parents were divorced, there was no certificate by local government. that's all we can provided ). We failed to do so because of miscommunication. ( We were all in China that period of time) And case was rejected in 2016. My question is is there any thing that we can do to get her to Canada faster? or we have to go through the whole process again? I am a software professional working full time.
thanks very much

Hi
You need to start from the beginning. The lottery is closed, so the earliest you could try is next year, if you meet the LICO requirements.

Thanks. This probably saves me hundreds of dollars by consulting some lawyers for an hour or two.

You could apply for supervisa for her. Supervisa is not a regular visa you have to buy insurance and the visa is for 10 years and she can stay here 2 years at a time without extention.
