I am sponsoring my parents and received a letter about three weeks ago that we passed the first step and were approved to be sponsors. I received a letter from Warsaw yesterday, that they received the documents and started reviewing them.

My question is whether anyone's income has been reassessed after being approved as sponsors. Maybe towards the end, when parents do their medical, do they reassess the sponsor's income again?

Thank you!

Yes - CIC quite frequently requests updated income information during the processing of parent / grandparent applications. So what you're experiencing is normal. CIC wants to confirm that you still meet the income requirements since the application has been submitted. Just submit what they've asked for and you'll be fine.

Thank you for your advice. We are not being reassessed. I was wondering what the odds are to be reassessed if no circumstances have changed. I guess it is pretty common :)

Ah - sorry for misunderstanding.

It's hard to say what your chances are. If it's an older application (i.e. pre 2015) - then the chances are probably higher. If it's a newer application (since the cap started), then probably lower chances since processing seems to be quite fast these days.

Yes, i applied January 2015 ( I mailed December 31, 2014) and find that it went fairly fast. I know some people wait for 6 years. Thank you again for your advice :) i am glad there is a place one can find fast help!
