Your spouse can put in another individual application. Both will be processed simultaneously.
You can withdraw one once the other reaches the stage of Passports request.
I think it is wise to wait for the first application's status. I am not sure how much quota is left for post June 2010 applicants since June is again coming. There might be physiotherapist category post June 2011 also and may not be. At least you are in queue for processing as physiotherapist. If you do not hear from them by June end and still physiotherapist category is there, then you withdraw your first application and make your wife PA. Have you tried contacting VO regarding status? What are your timelines and location.
